The day when I step one foot out of the comfort zone
August 19th, 2011
The journey started on this day, when it's time to say goodbye to my family for the next 11 months, bringing two big luggage, one small one, and a backpack that i have spent more than two days to make everything fit inside the luggage. I was pretty lucky that I have Pipit to go with and not alone, we departed from Soekarno-Hatta airport at 7 pm. Then we transit to Taiwan and waited two hours to depart to Seattle for another 17 hours in the plane.
In the plane suddenly I realized the girl behind me wearing the Rotary blazer, so I asked her if she is from Rotary and yes she is Kaimod from Thailand, she is in the same district as I am. Arrived at Seattle, Pipit directly went to another plane for her next flight to Alaska. After that.. I was alone, the airport looked like empty and I was confused where should I go, but fortunately I met Indonesian kid that went to collage in Seattle, she showed me the way out and right after that I met Chris, Kelly, Consuelo and Dave. It feels nice after I met them, I wasn't feel alone. Still we have another ride to Port Angeles for two hours. Got to W 7th St. at night, the home and my room feels so comfortable, a cute little home with Chris & Kelly, eva (the dog) and elmer & fudge (the rabbits) ;)
