Escape Mission to Geneva
Hey peeps!
This time I will post one of my favourite city which is Geneva. Actually it was the trip that was not planned, we were supposed to stay in Cern due to our uni trip with the other students. However since we were only 40 minutes away from Geneva, why not visit this city? It will cost higher if I have to take this trip from the Netherlands or even from Indonesia. Probably it was not an appropriate act to just leave the group but oh well we have apologized anyway and I need to discover this city through this chance!
Geneva is the home of the European headquarter of United Nations Office (UNO) and Red Cross (ICRC) therefore it is known as the city of peace. It has around 200,000 population and 20 international organizations such as World Health Organization (WHO), European Organization of Nuclear Research (CERN) and many more. Hence it is the city with the highest number of international organizations in the world. Geneva is also the second largest city of Switzerland.
Lake Geneva
Jet d'eau is a fountain and a symbol of Geneva. It has 140 m high water jet at the Lake of Geneva. This lake is the largest lake in the western Europe and is situated on the north side of the Alps. Along the shore of the lake, many hotels and restaurants are located for the visitors to enjoy the view of the lake and the Alps.

The Flower Clock in which its floral arrangement is adjusted according to the season.
Geneva is also considered as one of the greenest city in Europe and often called the city of parks. It is proven by the number of public parks in this city as more than one quarter of the city is public parks.
One of the cafe served various kind of pastries that is mouthwatering!
The pastries above are from the Martel Chocolatier is located in the 4 rue de la Croix d'Or, Geneva. I haven't tried the other patisserie in this city however this place is great with its various kind of pastries, chocolates and macaroons. This chocolatier is made in the 1818 as a chocolate factory and it will celebrate its 200 years of tradition on the 2018. They always maintain its freshness along with its taste quality. Therefore if you visit Geneva, try this Martel Chocolatier to experience the pastries and chocolates as well as many type of coffee that they serve in this place.
I am sorry if I cannot explain more stuff about Geneva as I only had around 4 hours trip to this city. So the trip to Geneva was only a short day travel :( However you should explore the beauty of Geneva if you ever had time to have a trip to Geneva!
Cheers,
Rona
